Bullitt Satellite Messenger

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use this!! It didn’t work where there was no service and they won’t cancel your subscription for a year!! I’m out $480 for my husband and I for these pieces of junk.

That’s not a hyperbolic title. The most recent versions of the app require users to be logged in, which requires data coverage. I’ve started hikes and been logged out by the end. While the app may be useful for entertainment purposes, it is completely unacceptable to have a safety application which logs users out routinely and arbitrarily, and does not allow a login without the coverage which makes satellite communications meaningless.

Installed the Bullitt Satellite Messenger App yesterday on two iPhone 14 Pro. Was able to receive locked screen message notifications on the iPhone connected to the Motorola Defy but not on the receiving iPhone. After searching different threads with similar message notification issues, it was mentioned that ‘Background App Refresh’ must by enabled in Settings/General/Background App Refresh in order to receive messages when the screen is locked. When this setting was enabled for the Bullitt Satellite Messenger App, message received notifications were displayed on the iPhone locked screen and also on an Apple Watch connected to the iPhone.
