Adventure Escape: Time Library (Time Travel Story and Point and Click Mystery Room Game)

This has absolutely been my favorite game of the adventure escape games. I've got all the puzzles memorized at this point besides the number puzzle in prison. My brain hates figuring out that one for some reason. I've had this app for years at this point and it's the one game I don't plan to ever erase cause I love it so much. I'd put it at a medium on difficulty. It's no walk in the park but it's also not a mountain hike. It is interesting you only ever get to see the prologue after you first open the app and can't replay that part of the story but see the credits at the end of the last 'chapter'. At this point I've collected 999 stars in game (subtle brag/ exposed expended time) if you don't spend any, you can collect just under one hundred stars per play through of the game. Definitely a lot more generous than most of the newer adventure escape games which is a point of contention I have with the newer games. But I do get wanting to earn money off of the games.

I absolutely love this game!! It’s so original and so different from regular point and click games! I absolutely love all the characters, I had no idea about the twist at the end, I wasn’t expecting it at all! In this game the puzzles challenge you so well and are really fun to solve. They test your ability to think outside the box and all the puzzles are really different too! In regular point and click games I find it so weird how you’ll use something once and then never use it again like, “Umm I can probably use that later?” and this game doesn’t do that! This game is carefully thought out and every bit of it makes logical sense. All of my regular point and click pet peeves are completely lost from this game. I also really hate when your into a game and then right in the middle of it you’re stopped and have to pay money to continue! This game is completely free which was so amazing. I also love how their are hints too! The hints really helped me out and were so much better and more effective then having to look up a walkthrough when I got stuck. I want to know what happens to the characters!! Is it possible to make a part two? This game was overall so amazing I could go on for hours about it. It’s the first one I’ve played from this company and I’m really excited to start playing the next one!

Or you might come back with the mistaken impression that the Hope diamond was on the Titanic... But really, the game is good, and clearly made after Haiku really got its game engine looking and working well. The interface is up to par with those made by larger game developers. The graphics are very good for a game of this kind especially that's free. There are no in-game purchases, this is the whole thing. This one is longer than earlier games by this company which is nice. The game geared towards a younger set, presumably high school girls but frankly, a middle aged mom with teens is going to get more amusement out of it than the kind of high school girls it's kind of poking fun at. :) The puzzles are challenging although some of the things needed to be done in order to get to the puzzle can be unclear. I spent some time just randomly hitting hit screen on more than one occasion trying to figure out what I was supposed to do next. (Hint: in the Mayan world, there's a vine hidden by a door that you need.) There were a couple familiar puzzles here unlike the other games which were almost all new, but one of them that was modeled after minesweeper, was made more difficulty because the square with the number was counted as well. Thankfully, again, not a single hidden object search in sight. We've got plenty of those, it's nice to have a casual story-based puzzler without those. All in all, this is another great game from Haiku. I hope they continue to produce fabulous and free games.
