Adventure Escape: The Castle

I love these games! For the last 5 years it has helped me have many many hours of fun with my grandson. Side by side, hours of fun with just him & I, a notebook and pen for me to take notes- or if it is his time, he can! We listen to a variety of music on our stereo and learn about different music together- we always turn game sounds off - no offense, but this lets me know more about what he is doing. We Star to at 10 years old and are still playing these together now at 15 ! Snuggled up on the couch, nibbling on snacks and enjoying each other! I have jealous friends! I couldn’t make it through the games without him 🙂

It gets frustrating when you tap on EVERYTHING in a room for 5 minutes and it turns out you hit the thing you needed 20 times before it moved or gave it to you. The storyline needs a little beefing up. The solvability is actually at a good level. It’s not so hard, you can’t progress. It’s not so easy, you can complete it in minutes. The biggest difficulty is when it won’t move things or let you pick them up.

I did enjoy this game. I love all the Haiku games. I love the puzzles and storylines and I think all the games are fun. This is the first time I have given 4 stars. I could tell this must have been one of the earlier games because things have definitely elevated from this to the adventure escape mysteries which were the first I played. I think it’s great to see how much they are truly developing as creators with each mystery. The reason I gave this one 4 stars was the hints. These are the least helpful out of any of the games. For some of the harder puzzles it’s really frustrating because they give 3 very very obvious hints where you are like yes obviously I am looking at that but then to get to an actual helpful hint takes like 15 stars. That’s the only grievance. Great job overall though!
