Word Link - Word Puzzle Game

I was enjoying the game and was able to overlook all the mistakes in the game -- not recognizing or giving credit for words that are the correct number of letters, using words that would not be found in any scrabble dictionary, etc. Clearly the game was written by somebody who is not a native English speaker. And that was fine because I liked being able to get free diamonds (to help me figure out words, especially improper words 🙄) by watching a 6 or 15 second commercial video. And those videos actually worked I've actually purchased 4 of the advertised products! While other games 30 second commercial videos make me promise to never buy those products! (I can forgive a few 30 second videos in this game but with the latest update there are more and they are annoying.) But with this latest update and not having the opportunity to easily get as many free diamonds the game is just aggravating because it doesn't work right so I'm going to have to quit it. The free diamonds for watching videos tab actually disappears when you tap on it and the free diamonds under the + up the right-hand corner does not work at all, and the x 10 diamonds when you open up the game does not work most of the time anymore. So rather than be annoyed I'll just quit it at level 1233. You were fun but then you just became tedious. Farewell!

Nearly unlimited unique word puzzles, with a TON of mini games! I found that after the first few levels completed, you can unlock the mini games found in the advertisements! In the main menu, go to the icon on the bottom left and you can choose from 7 different mini games, in case you get bored of the word puzzles. Plus, you earn diamonds which can be used as hints in the mini games! The main word puzzles range from very difficult to fairly easy. I am fairly certain that the difficulty is random after each level. If not, then the programmers did a great job finding the perfect mix of easy and challenging to keep you interested in the game!

I hate how this app makes you swipe from letter to letter when creating words because a lot of times, it doesn’t recognize the swipe, making you get the word wrong and having to redo it more carefully. A lot of times you have to press down really hard to make it comprehend what you’re swiping. I also highly dislike how you can get bonus words in each round, but sometimes the game doesn’t recognize a real word as a bonus word. For example, you can have a group of three-letter words, and you may go through several three-letter bonus words before you figure out which one actually fits their blocks. I’m working on one of the puzzles right now that has several three-letter words, but when I tried “elf” it wouldn’t take it as part of the puzzle nor a bonus word. And I swear this game makes up some words! I also don’t like how you can’t select which box you’d like the hint to go in; it just goes in order from beginning to end. I didn’t realize how much I hated this app until sitting down to write this, but the fact I felt compelled to write a review in the first place should’ve told me something.
