The issue that others brought up is still a problem. To buy a single use ticket (or any) there are 2 account sign ups, 2 confirmation emails, addresses and phone number adds etc. Then you choose ApplePay. Ridiculous. Simplify please! Just do app download and sign up with cell number, 1 text confirmation and then ApplePay or card. Done easy. Please fix this nonsense.
I'm traveling to Austria and needed to buy public transport tickets. I was able to register and buy 2, 7-day tickets for my spouse and I within 5 minutes using apple pay. The 72 hr and 7-day ticket is the same price so I'd just get that if you're here for 4.5 days or just 3+ days.
The app itself is relatively benign and usable, but when you try to purchase tickets for the first time, the number of steps required to do so is absurd in its complexity; several web pages must be visited, accounts need to be set up, forms must be filled out, all to take you back to the app to be able to use Apple Pay. It took about 15 minutes to complete the maze above, as numerous errors were encountered and slow sites. This ridiculous process needs to be simplified to just Apple Pay direct, or simply entering a card and billing address.
