The app works well overall, but I was buying tickets for a small group to catch a tram in only a few minutes, and the app informed me that my payment wasn’t going through. I tried three times with different cards because we were in a hurry (all cards appeared to have failed), only to find out just afterwards that I’d inadvertently purchased 3x sets of the same tickets! While there may be some payment problem on my end, I would recommend a fix for this/a feature that asks for a yes or no to proceed if the app detects a repeat purchase within a short amount of time, especially since there is no reimbursement process on the app that I can see.
This app let me plan each of our in-town and day trips simply. I could buy tickets on the fly or plan our route the night before. With tickets in hand, I always knew what stop or platform to go to.
Not a bad app, but the two minutes to activate is a major issue. The inspectors come and will fine you with as little as 10 seconds left before it activates, and since they can check whomever they want, they often target women, especially those riding alone. I just ended up buying the year pass, but for people who ride only once or twice, the two minutes is a huge pain. Either you get on before your ticket activates and hope, or you activate it before the bus/tram/metro even arrives—cutting into the amount of time you’ve paid to be allowed to travel. And if the bus is late, and so your ticket expires before you reach your destination? That’s a fine, too. Major design flaw!
