Whirlpool

In Jan I purchased an entire kitchen of appliances. All Whirlpool. At first I did not think I’d use the app but a trip to the store and the realization I could preheat the oven and pop a pizza in- saving many minutes was a great moment. I love the barcode cooking and make good use of it but it’s still limited. I love the air fryer update. I love being in the other room and getting a message that dinner is ready. What I don’t live is the space on the app used for selling another appliance to me. I figure I have what 10 years before replacing any now. If you could take that space and expand on what the appliance features do and how to utilize them I’d love it. The instruction booklet (and online) spend a lot of time on installation and not so much on how to raise the volume of the timer or what all the Melt eye can do.

I’m not sure what my biggest problem has been since I bought my Whirlpool top load wash machine, the app or the machine itself. I have been on the phone with the Whirlpool to set up the online for my washer, my washer states that it’s online but the app states I’m not online so it does not let me go further on doing anything with the machine. Another big problem is two separate people that was helping me do this then the phone hangs up right in the middle, they never call you back to continue. They know when the phone hangs up you can’t call them right back to get the same person without starting all over again with another person. They have your number to call you back, but they don’t. This has happened to me 3 times. I gave up on the online deal to connect to my machine. The only real reason I wanted this is bc my “Load to Go” do not dispense out when washing. I thought the online app would help me to see if it was coming out even a little. Since that can’t be done i washed several other times. This detergent does not come out at all. I did all whirlpool instructed me to do. Made sure the load to Go was fill to 100%. Changed the loading part by keep pressing to a larger number like 8X to notice detergent level movement. Maybe i have a “defect” machine and whirlpool will not acknowledge that. I had this machine for six days and spoke to them for five days. And I’m still having a problem. My last call was today the phone hung up in the middle again, so what do I do? This is why I say is it the app or my machine.

I now love this Whirlpool all in one washer dryer, purchased at Costco. With the help of Costco‘s extra friendly concierge service who helped arrange the delivery, the machine was delivered and installed; I pushed on the machine and saw that it easily rocked back-and-forth, so I ran out to the truck as the delivery/installer guys were leaving and asked if they had balanced the machine. It turns out they didn’t even have a balance on their truck, so obviously they had not been trained, nor had they read the instructions on how to install this W/D. So I balanced the machine myself with the help of another person. The machine stopped working within two months, and leaked water all over my floor. At this point the concierge service at Costco was not helpful nor friendly (I will never buy another large purchase from Costco ). I had to wait months for repairs. Finally the repair people came and there was a broken part that was involved with the draining of water that had to be replaced. I was very angry, and at this point, stuck with the machine. So I finally did what I did not want to have to do, which is why I assured that there were professional appliance installer-delivery people with Costco concierge, I read the installation instructions thoroughly and discovered that they had shoved the exit tube from the machine for the water drainage all the way down the tube attached to the back of my wall. The instructions read in big block letters in two different places to put this tube no further than 11 inches down that exit from house tube! So these installation guys did not read the instructions, which broke the machine. I blame this on Costco. When this machine is installed correctly it is a beautiful device. One other thing, I never use it on extra-fast spin because it’s too noisy, I just do it on fast.
