Washmen & The Finery

I used their service when vacationing in Dubai. Had placed a next day order for laundry as I was flying out of Dubai. We had 2 pieces of clothing which were not delivered to us and we didn’t notice because we were trying to pack our stuff. The team promptly let us know about the missing clothing and even went to the extent of returning them outside of Dubai through courier. A splendid example of customer service which is rare to see and prompt communication through every step. Special thanks to Gian for keeping us informed about the status. Would highly recommend their service.

We don’t typically leave reviews, but we feel a duty to warn others about the experiences we’ve had with Washmen over the past two years. Washmen consistently lost or damaged hundreds of dollars’ worth of our clothing and linen over that time, and each time we discussed it with them, no attempt at restitution was ever made by Washmen. Roughly 2/3 of the time, there was some issue with our order that definitely outshone the convenience of their operation, which was the main reason we stuck with them for so long. If it wasn’t destroying the silk duvet cover we received for our wedding, it was other customers’ items mixed in with ours, or missing items never found, or cashmere items mishandled and destroyed. Washmen is fine for basic laundry for items you don’t really care about, but don’t trust them with delicate or specialty items, and don’t expect them to go the extra mile to try to make it up to you. We finally had enough and are using another local company. Again, really hate to leave this review, but want to prevent others from having this same experience.

I always wanted an app which does my laundry in the hassle free manner. Some apps did provide them but flicking thru times for pick up and drop off was still something I wanted fixed. My friend recommended me Washmen. She had used the service for 4-5 months and never went back. I finally gave it a shot and now I cannot go back. Their Insta-Order is simply amazing. Using 3D Touch and getting your laundry done is classic. The Wash Everything bag is what I mainly use it for, my laundry comes back smelling like fresh air. I’m hooked!
