Edit: the upload pictures of food was corrected. I can once again recommend the app! This app was great until it wasn’t. It started out wonderful. I was assigned a counselor that helped walk me through nutrition, weight loss and exercise. But then the app quit working as it was designed. It has an option to upload pictures and use AI to describe what the food is with Calgary content and nutrition facts but after about Five uploads, it quit working and has given me an error message ever since. I deleted the app re-downloaded it cleared my cash. Did all of the things that you would normally do to fix the issue contacted support. But to the end, no one would help. It’s been two weeks. I finally decided that you know I would just cancel the app. You have to email customer support to cancel the app and then you have to provide personal information to cancel the app such as birthdate and other personal information. At this point they can just keep it going I guess to say they have a customer, but I’m really confused about why I can’t cancel why the app doesn’t work at this time. I would not recommend the app and if they can’t get the problem fixed, I only assume that other customers would have this issue.

My insurance recommend me to -download this app back in May 2024 I met with a dietitian right away Sarah she was great and then they wanted me to go get labs and then after I got labs I was supposed to meet with a doctor well the lab orders never showed up in the documents and I waited and then they told me to wait because your provider was on vacation so I waited and then they said I should have the documents but wait 48 hours so after all this for four weeks, they resent the labs and then I finally got them a month later went and got my lab work done and then they let me make an appointment with the doctor and her first available was one month after that and I am supposed to have an appointment with them in July and for whatever reason it is now gone or has been canceled and the next available appointment isn’t until the end of August and none of those times work for me, because the only times available are in the morning so to finally meet with the doctor it’ll be six months after I started this. I would never pay for this service. I contact support and asked for help as it has taken over 4 months to get started and they said that all the doctors are a month or more waiting period out. I have read others randomly have their appointments cancelled too. I decided it was better to just cancel the program and delete the app. There are other apps out there better than this

Vida is extremely impressive. I didn’t think in the past that I could keep up any diet or exercise plan. Certainly never both at once. In the last 6 months I’ve not only lost 20 lb and gotten to my ideal weight, I’ve run a half marathon and started regular meditation. All these things have become a regular part of my life that I feel enthusiastic about continuing. I won’t credit them all to Vida. I started the running program beforehand. But where I think Vida has been enormously helpful is in guiding, monitoring, and suggesting tweaks, and having someone to talk with for support. That’s been helpful to give me the confidence that I can basically manage it myself. Needs work: the food logging, an essential function, is very slow to respond and does not allow you to easily repeat meals, which makes it extremely painful in comparison to myfitnesspal. Now I just use myfitnesspal. The program itself has extensive information about diet relative to other sources but in my opinion very little about exercise or other topics.
