Due to the ad agency the dev thought of for this game, I’ll probably buy the no ad purchase once I figure out the game more purely out of support. Other ad loaded games makes me delete them after playing for 5 mins since I’m sick of the spam, but the dev made the choice to allow you to select how much you want to see ads (40% 70% 100%) with the trade off being lower or higher passive income generation. I think that adds a double challenge if you do low ads and hard mode, which is a fun added bonus. I think other devs should take a page out of this dev’s book and do the same. Plus the ads are short! Other game ads I’ve seen could be literal minutes if not longer to the point I could walk away for some small chore, come back, and the ad’s still playing. This game doesn’t have any of that! Maybe I got lucky with the short ads, but if this is a decision made by the dev, I highly respect it and with other games with ads could also do that as well

This game is a hidden gem which deserves to not be hidden anymore, so download it, try it, and tell others about it! You can see the care and polish put into the gameplay loop, and the game is enjoyable for a few minutes at a time, but usually hooks me for hours as I obsessively try to grow my city and manage it to keep all of the citizens happy and productive! There is no intrusive advertising or monetization and I quickly paid the very reasonable price for the ad-skip option. The developer more than earned the few dollars I’ve paid so far and I feel very good about leaving a positive review. With so many shallow cash-grab games on the App Store, this game easily stands out as being unique, engaging, and skillfully and soulfully-crafted.

The game is great but there’s a few annoyances. The newspaper system is really cumbersome (and sometimes glitches out where I can’t edit them) and doesn’t make sense sometimes. Using the 5% income boost will give me 1k coins in profit so it’s almost a must to always run it or else I’m -200 income for some reason. Coin income lacks impact because it’s really hard to get anything over 1.5k in income since there are so many micro things to manage like increased resource consumption, need for more buildings, and protective buildings as you scale your population. I think it’s a great game still, but I hope these things get ironed out. Also, I didn’t notice a discord button in any of the menus, is there one?
