VG's Grocery

I tend to visit VG’s in the evening. I like the fact that, while they’re restocking the shelves, the employees are nice enough to say, “ Hi!” David and Bonnie ALWAYS have something positive to say. I just KNOW that VG’s is happy to have me there. However, when I asked for a rain check for hamburger that was on sale for $1.97 / pound (sold in 3lb tubes), someone told David that he couldn’t give me one because VG’s wouldn’t be getting any more. Well, SURPRISE!!!! VG’s has it on sale this week for $2.77 / pound in 3lb tubes. UNFAIR !!!!!!

My family and I have shopped at VGs for literally about 30+ years. We have always thought that the quality and availability of items have always met our expectations during this time or more. Sometimes people ask me why I shop at VGs when “they” are so expensive. I cannot agree that there is a large difference in the price of food at Meijers, Walmart and VGs. There is a huge difference in customer service and friendliness. I do sometimes go to both of these stores, but I almost always find it cumbersome and difficult, with little difference in cost. In closing I want to give a big shout out to the deli department! The food and service is amazing and so customer friendly. Thanks for your service.

I have been shopping at vgs for over 20 years. I take care of a disabled sibling so finding time to grocery shop is sometimes difficult. I was very happy to start being able to use VG’s for home grocery delivery. However my last experience with them left a lot to be desired. I did not get the customary text alert that my order was on its way. My brother has a basement apartment in our condo, so I just go upstairs and wait for the delivery when I get the alert. I was called by vgs and said that they attempted to deliver my order but no one was home. I was home. Was told that they do not send messages that an order is on its way, I have the texts still from previous orders that show they do. I was going to call the 800 number to leave a complaint, but decided this was the better place to do that. I will be using Instacart from now on for my grocery deliveries, I never have problems with them.
