This app has conversations intentionally designed to give you vocabulary and grammar for commonly used phrases in conversation for a given language - the responses from the AI bot thoughtfully use different verbs that have similar meanings to maximize your exposure to and practice of the language! It’s also really cool that it’s a live chat bot and will tailor its response based on what you said as if you were having a real conversation. I also love the feature to hear the chatbot’s response and speak my response directly into the text box to send so I get to practice the language aloud and do not have to be burdened by typing!

Univoice AI is set up to try out conversation topics that are actually relevant to your life in a variety of languages. It’s refreshing to talk with a bot in Spanish about things that happen in my every day life, phrases in a travel setting like ordering at a restaurant, tell stories, and share my likes and dislikes to build up my skill set around things I would also discuss in English! I think it’s a great way to continue strengthening my understanding of Spanish and also learn something new with the helpful phrases and sentence correcting available in the app.

The Univoice team is incredible. It’s such a genius idea to pair language learning with AI. To be able to have a real time conversation while practicing a new language is a game changer. It’s such a fun design and it’s very easy to use. I love that you can hear and translate the phrases that the bot says and see how it identifies and corrects mistakes in your responses. Also, being able to talk out vs typing is great. I look forward to continue using this as for me, this has surpassed other language apps out there!
