They have a normal app for the rest of their insurance plans that works basically fine. If you’re getting student coverage though you’ll have to settle for this dumpsterfire that has extremely limited features and runs like trash. Weirdly, you can’t access the plan through the standard UHC app either so you’re stuck with this nonsense.
Called customer service to troubleshoot and said they are having a known issue with account registration but that it should be resolved in a day. Well it’s been 3 and still no access. What’s the point of paying for health insurance if I can’t even access my ID card? Said they’d email and mail me one over the phone since the website doesn’t work but I have yet to get either
i’ve never had parental approval set up on my phone and was completely locked out of my account at 3 am in the ER. i spent over an hour in chat support the next day only for them to say its a device issue. thanks united healthcare! this is clearly a known issue that they do not seem to be taking steps to fix. just log in on browser and save yourself the headaches. it is beyond infantilizing to be told i need approval to access my own health insurance information
