I couldn’t get the sound for the women’s hockey game through the app. I had to use the web portal instead.

The most prominent element in an app is the thing the developer most wants you to see. When they block access to an app with an ad they're telling you they don't want you using the app. I've obliged and deleted it. Blocking content with ads is annoying. The tired scripted reply of needing ad revenue is BS. You don't need to block content to deliver an ad. They also force promo notifications on you with no option to turn them off. I selected only game notifications in the settings yet I constantly get ads in them. Blocking content with ads and forcing ad notifications on me tells me they care more about the app being an ad platform, not a sports app. I don't want an ad platform.
