I’m a dermatologist and I decided to give top derm a try. I was curious to see what an app could do for my learning. I remember making flash cards in college, medical school, and residency and so I thought this may be a learning medium suitable to my learning skills. Not only it was a great learning experience…but I also had fun while doing it! I really liked the game like approach, I felt like I was doing a useful trivia and felt “smarter” after playing. I liked the images bc as a dermatologist in many cases it boils down to our visual recognition abilities and a refresher is always welcomed and important for my daily practice. The variety of the available content is also impressive, there is a ton for everyone; whether you are more into medical, surgical, or cosmetic derm. Overall, I think this is a great way for me to review and even learn new material (like new guideline approaches) while I have any downtime, either in clinic, at home, or on the go!
