Texting Shield - Phone Number

The first time I used the app it worked well. The messages have a bit of delay by seconds so is not that bad. The reason why I gave it 2 stars is because I’ve sent them an email like 3 weeks ago with some questions I have about the app but no one has gotten back to me. You claim that the texts won’t show on my bill but my question was if it would show on the recipient’s bill. Also I wanted to know if I get a new number every time I send a text to the same person even if it’s on a different day. I would appreciate some answers to these questions. I think there should be a notification that lets you know when the message was read because there’s no way to know if the app is working. I’ve been told my message was not received until hours after it was sent. If you can fix these issues it would be a great app.

It’s a fine app, and it does what it says it does. I gave it four stars for two reasons. Reason 1, you have to pay for credits to send and receive. Reason 2, when sending a picture message, the service compresses the picture so the person receiving the picture gets an almost blurry low resolution version.

Great little app. It does what it’s supposed to and very well allows you to pick different numbers for different conversations unlike others that make you commit to one for the entire use of the app. Only thing it’s missing is the ability to write a longer text message. It stops you fairly short but I suppose that’s so you don’t write a novel and still only use 1 credit. Other than that that’s the only thing I don’t like. Otherwise it’s great.
