Sunset Magazine

I had subscribed to Sunset magazine for many years and then stopped for no good reason. Recently I was going through an old file folder and found all these wonderful articles I had torn out and saved over the years. I realized how much I miss reading about all the food, drink and travel in the west and renewed my subscription. Somehow when I read this magazine I just unwind and get lost in the great stories and pictures. Thank you for that.

As a native Californian, Sunset is as iconic as baseball and apple pie (without politics) and very Americana. I grew up withSu set magazine around the house as a kid in San Francisco, then I grew up and wondered what was missing in my bubble. After visiting Sunsets experimental grounds in Sonoma, I realized as an adult home owner, how I cherished those wonderful ideals of nature and the accompanying good California cuisine you can cook at home and recognize we live in a slice of Heaven. My wife has subscribed to Sunset Magazine and that comforting feeling of place and people and of being secure has returned. Thank you Sunset you have “nourished my roots”.

I admit it, years I was a hold-out. I didn’t know ant to give up my good ‘ole paper magazine that allowed me to “save the articles”. But over the years (and I’ve been reading Sunset for over 40 years) I have no cataloging system and items of interest were lost. Besides the clutter was getting to me! Enter Sunset’s electronic version where I can scan each month’s issue at my leisure, save interesting articles, and eliminated the clutter (and the guilt) of recycling those beautiful magazines. I am an electronic convert! Also, loving the return of color to decorating trends, and the bountiful and richly photographed gardening articles. I couldn’t be happier with the “new” Sunset.
