Sub-Zero Group Owner’s App

The app is great when it works. However, every so often a bad app or server update is pushed that breaks the app’s ability to communicate with my SZ fridge. I have an older Integrated/Designer fridge that does not have an internal control panel (only physical options for power/ice maker/alarm). Everything else from fridge/freezer temperature controls, ice maker settings, and filter status are only visible and accessible via the app. So when the app breaks, the functionality of my fridge is particularly limited. I wish Sub Zero had better QA or testing prior to releasing their app updates. The bug is usually fixed within a week or so, but it is nonetheless frustrating to lose control of your expensive appliances even if it’s only temporary.

The Sub-Zero Wolf app is exactly what a smart appliance app should be—intuitive, responsive, and actually useful. It doesn’t just look polished; it works flawlessly, making it easy to control and monitor appliances without unnecessary steps or frustrating lag. The layout is clean and useful, from changing temps and bake modes to maintenance reminders and timer alerts happening in real time without any hiccups. The app feels like an extension of the appliances, not just an afterthought, and that’s expected with Sub Zero & Wolf. There’s no alternative.

I’ve recently changed my phone number since installing the app. It doesn’t allow me to change my login information for the two factor identification. It has my old phone number with no option for updating it. Called customer service but the only suggestion was to create a new account.. I expected a better resolve, especially since I no longer have the same phone number.
