Moen Flo

This is the most well designed protective home device that I have ever experienced. I have two homes one in St. George Utah ones Southern California. My sister had a disaster before she installed her Moen Flo. She had a Flood. It cost her well over $100,000 in damages fortunately she had insurance but even then she had to move out of our house for three months, rent an Airbnb and it cost a lot of money and stress. Because of her unfortunate situation I installed two of them one in my Los Angeles home and one of my St. George Utah home and it works flawlessly I cannot tell you the peace of mind and the pleasure and sense of comfort that I have from this unit. It’s very sensitive if I overuse but I’m able to set my uses. I would never be without this device. I even believe insurance companies will give you a considered discount by installing this product in your home.

I received this smart sprinkler controller for free as a replacement from Moen because they acquired my previous smart controller company, Control. I had been using Control with zero issues, from setup to usage since 2013. The first few steps of setup went according to plan. But as I approached the final setup stages, the instructions automatically brought me back to a troubleshooting step. I disconnected the controller from the wall but I didn’t have to do that because there were no issues with the setup. I just didn’t know that. When I tried to finish the setup, it wouldn’t allow me to. Luckily I had already connected to my wifi so I was ready to use the controller. However, I cannot use this as a smart controller because it won’t allow me to set up any schedules. When I go to the schedule setup, no zones come up. I’ve tried to fiddle with the settings but there is nothing for me to turn on to get the zones to come up. I am more than disappointed with this device. Moen is a national (global?) company but they can’t even get this right. My previous controller was created by a small company from Frisco, Texas. It is beyond frustrating that a company like Moen can’t do right what a tiny little company did seamlessly. The worst part is that since they now own my previous controller’s company, they won’t support that device by year end so I can’t even go back to my previous device. With an overall rating of 3.9 on the App Store, you would think they would have fixed the issues. I can’t be the only person having issues. It’s downright embarrassing for Moen.
