The only two things I want from a museum app is a map and a list of events, with times and places. This app has neither. Sure, it has a map. But it’s just a link to the map on the website. An interactive map on the app would be ideal. Maybe even use the building’s wifi to track where I am and show that on the map. Even a high-res image of the map would be better than redirecting me to the website. To find event times, I had to Google and then use the search results to go to the event listing on the website. The obvious thing would be to have a calendar showing all the events in order, maybe with a filter. If you want to be fancy, allow me to tick one I’m interested in and push a reminder 15 minutes before it starts. Or, you know, you could write today’s events on a noticeboard and post it in the main entrance. Next to a big map. The only other thing I’d maybe want in an app is a way to show my tickets. I actually prefer to receive a pdf via email (like they do now), but if you have to add features, that’s one that’s tolerable. All the rest of what’s currently on this app is useless and unnecessary.
