Lots of issues

The app works great if someone is doing a preorder with a credit card. If they are paying with Venmo or cash on a preorder, it’s annoying. I have to go on my daughter’s actual website and put in the order myself as if I’m the person ordering to take any Venmo payments. On my phone, it logs me in to MY Venmo when I click pay with Venmo and so I have to pay it myself, then have the people Venmo me. I would suggest making sure this doesn’t happen to the app developers. There is no way to mark a cash order on here. Also an issue from my point of view, because it would be much easier to have everything in one place. When taking orders with cookies in hand, there is also no way to record cash payments. So again, I have to Venmo girls scouts myself to record the cash payments. If I click “new cookie order” and that we will deliver later, the ONLY option is a credit card and I don’t understand why?? Most people we’ve sold to prefer to pay with Venmo. So then I have to go on the actual website, instead of the app, pay with MY Venmo, then collect payment from the person. This is just way too many steps and gets really complicated. There has to be a better way to do this.

It works but it could be better

The app works well enough for being able to manage online sales and to be able to sell in person at the booth. It logged me out once while processing payment at a booth sale and I didn’t notice until the customer was gone. My fault but still annoying. There are some specific updates that would make it more user friendly and more helpful for the troop. -ability to use square card scanner -ability to track cash purchases in the app so that we don’t have to track this separately. - allowing online orders to also use Venmo or PayPal to pay - allowing for scouts to sign up for booth times in the app. -tracking booth sales better. The Boy Scout app is far superior with this and allows for each scout to automatically be credited for their portion of sales during their booth time. -stop making us log in every time we open the app. Again, this app isn’t bad. But with some updates it could really be such a helpful tool for troop leaders, parents and scouts.

Not a user-friendly UI

Seriously, why?! As others have stated, you have to log in EVERY TIME, and it won't even link to Apple passwords. I have to unlock my password list with my thumbprint and then scroll down every time. There's a block for cookies in hand, but if there's a way to add to it, I haven't figured it out. We can't enter orders from our paper form to track them anywhere online. Shipped orders and orders to deliver are separated, so it seems like it would just be another split in the database. It would be nice to be able to track all of our orders in one place. The description says Venmo and Paypal are now accepted, but I don't see that. It doesn't give me the option to load the card my phone has saved, either, so when people pay me cash, I have to enter my full number, every time. On that note, why can't I accept cash payments? I signed documents promising to get all payments to the troop before initial sales; this shouldn't be any different. I'm seriously considering not letting my girl continue in Girl Scouts just because of the headache EVERYTHING digital causes with them. Different websites for every little thing, nothing works how it looks like it should, and everything surrounding fundraising is made 10x harder than it needs to be. Get it together, people!
