I’ve been in primary care for 12 years and documentation has always been the worst part of the job. With Scope running on my phone, I just talk to my patients like normal and it turns the visit into a clean note. I still review and tweak, but I’m saving about 1 - 2 hours most days and rarely bring bring work home now.
My panel is mostly older adults with multiple conditions. Scope helps keep the assessment and plan organized by problem, which used to take me a while to type out. For complex visits, my note time dropped from 10 - 12 minutes to about 4 - 5 minutes, saving about an hour per full clinic day.
I showed this to a few colleagues who aren’t very tech savvy. They picked it up quickly because it’s basically you tap record, see patient, and then review note. Generates the note in the template I choose, not complicated. Feedback from colleagues has been similar, about an hour less charting most days.
