This app is pretty easy to use. However, when I had a denied claim and resubmitted my claim with an updated receipt, the status shown within the screen was not very clear on 1) if my claim was actually resubmitted (status changed from “denied” to “receipt uploaded” or something like that and 2) the typical approval timeframe-believe this should be enhanced or at a minimum have functionality that confirms when you have resubmitted documentation that the claim is back under review. The status was so vague that I called customer service to make sure that my claim was indeed resubmitted. Additionally, when I called WEX, I was told about using the Dependent care form which does not appear to be available via the Documents section of the app but only via the desktop website. Please put the DCA form on the app (much easier to find it that way plus creates consistency too for the reps on the phone).
An absolute joke. It’s been a nightmare this entire year to successfully get reimbursements for child care. They get declined for reasons unknown and when you call them to check what happened they cannot provide an answer, telling you they will call you back later and never do. When they DO approve a claim request for reimbursements it takes WEEKS to actually be reimbursed. Best part of it all…. At the end of the year if you don’t use your money in your account (cause its a nightmare to do so) they DO NOT send you YOUR money back, they put it into a fund for OTHER employees.. I’m baffled. They tell you NONE of this when you sign up for the benefit and then your left with a big mess and money taken fro YOUR paychecks that you can barely use that then disappears and you never see it again.
I use it to submit my receipts, I find it helpful and quick. It is becoming more and more user friendly too. The first few times I used it, I was overwhelmed with the amount of clicks back and forth, WEX must be taking in the feedback from users because the interface is slightly smoother.
