Great so far!!! Totally Free

I’ve been playing this game for hours and stopped to write a review because I’m already impressed. Not only do you get to choose 90% of the times you see an ad (for a booster mind you), but I’ve made many upgrades already with money I’ve earned in-game and haven’t spent a dime. I’m only at the first location but I love it already. I love the funny sounds and cute colorful graphics. I feel you can earn lots of money and gems simply by playing. This first location is relaxing and challenging enough to still be fun while I’m building up my bank. I love that you can watch ads (if you choose) for a boost that lasts 3 rounds! That never happens. And it’s great that I can focus on making the drinks and my food does NOT burn while I’m busy. Great thinking guys!

Almost too good to be true.

I started playing potion punch a while ago and just recently downloaded it again to play. I’ve gotten further now than I did before, just got to cloverleaf town, but I have to say I’m super disappointed with how much you need gems to get anything now. Wanna give npc’s that extra crystal or berry to get them the heck outta the way? Get gems. Want venue upgrades for cloverleaf? Get gems. Want that final upgrade for that new potion dispenser that already costs like twice as much to upgrade with in-game currency? Get gems. It essentially becomes pay-to-play towards the second half of the game, and it’s not just “oh pay $5 and you can get everything through the rest of the game with in-game currency”. No, it’s pay $50 to get enough gems, or watch ads for an hour just to buy the upgrades for something. And then, you run out of ads. What now? What am I supposed to do? Just never get upgrades again? Never get my x2 bonus again because I LITERALLY CANNOT watch ads? Instead of making people buy gems for in game stuff, why not just make the extra customers only purchasable with gems, and the bonuses that the extra customers give waaay better so that people have an incentive to get them with gems. It’s honestly just sucky that I don’t even want to continue playing because of how predatory the game is getting with gems. I’d love if you just made the game paid. I’d gladly pay $5 flat and just not have to deal with gems or ads. Please at least make the gem costs for stuff less, or give us more gems per ad, or just have an option where you pay $5-$10 and you don’t have to do any of that and you can just play the game. If you do that, then it’s 5⭐️.

I love it, and here's why

This game is amazing. Not only does it have a respecting and pretty much optional usage of ads (unlike other games which throw them in your face every time you start a new level or lose) but it also uses "gems" in a fair way. Many other games make gems unattainable except through outside purchase, but by watching ads you can collect them yourself. Watching ads also doubles your income, and makes upgrading easier. The mechanics of the game are amazing, and simultaneously bring me back to my childhood with a "Papa's pizzeria" feel, and also help immerse me in this fun little world. It never gets boring, as there's always something more to do- whether that be completing locations, trying to upgrade equipment, or completing goals. I haven't gotten tired of it yet, which is saying something considering how fast I run through apps, downloading and retiring them after quickly losing interest. In fact, I'm pretty much obsessed. I've seen a few weird reviews on here, but I haven't encountered a single glitch or found any problems with purchases. Bottom line, get this game, you won't regret it.
