So-the litter 😻box is great! The app is….well behind the times. If they were going to leave the app as a straggler, why can’t they reset the times the box has run on the box readout each day as well? The app stays connected from 12-36 hours before it has to be reset and reconnected. It needs a 2.4g network, which I have and I even removed the password in hopes that would help. And vpn. Nope. It’s as though the error message appears even though it is connected. The app really isn’t filled out or setup beyond offering you their email or recommending contacting them on ig or fb. That annoyance withstanding, the box is great-a modern *quiet* marvel! Just wish it would stay connected so I could click clean or see the amount of times it has run in one day, as opposed to total amount of run times showing on the box display. The simplistic nature of the app isn’t the issue, that is fine for me. The issue is having an app that is not tended to nor updated, where the basic functions don’t work because they disconnect. I understand apps are expensive to maintain - maybe a disclaimer to set expectations upfront would help? Would love the basic functions to work on this app!

Half a year in as a kickstarter backer with 2 Popurs I can tell you the lid will fail and this machine will dump all over your floor. And it’s not my cat standing on it or interrupting the function (I watch it run), the internal wires that let the box communicate with the lid will break. This causes the machine to think the lid is closed when it is open and open when it is closed. If you are set to automatic cleaning you will come home from work to 9 hours of filth on your wall and floor. And good luck getting a fast resolution from a company operating in china. Keep a manual scoop on you because you might just be back to scooping for 2 weeks while you wait for a replacement. If you are downloading this app do yourself a favor and return the product while you still have the packaging get your money back and buy a litter robot. Spend the extra money and save yourself the headache. I’m 7 or 8 months in and well past the point of no return but if I could get my money back I would throw this thing in the River. The app is garbage too it constantly disconnects it doesn’t actually track your cats weight or bathroom habits all it does is give you a button to run the machine like a remote that’s it. Also if you run manual like me every time the machine disconnects be sure to set your settings back to manual. If you don’t it may be the day your lid fails and you come home from work to 9 hours of filth on your walls and floor. Good luck

This app is terrible. It does not communicate with the littler box what so ever. I asked popur about it, they told me to do an update. I did and the litter box is still not communicating with the app. I press “clean” it does nothing. It doesn’t keep any track of my cats record of weight, weekly cycles of their business, anything. All it tells me is after the cats use the box, it’s cleaning record. I had them go into my app to update the firmware to 4.1.3, and it doesn’t show anything on my end that it’s updated. It does say that “firmware is the latest version,” but before they went into my app to update it to the 4.1.3 version, it still wouldn’t update when I did it. After they updated it for me, there’s no record of seeing the 4.1.3 updated version. It doesn’t show any numbers on the firmware. Before and after the update when I’ve tried to update firmware, it just keeps telling me the firmware update has failed. It also does not tell me when the waste bin is full or needing to be changed. It does show the weekly cycles and the total cycles, but not for which cat has used it. This app is just terrible. Popur, you need to update the app and you can do better than this.
