First off, Iโd like to say that as Iโd gotten older I didnโt really care to work out much. Iโd gotten so sedentary that my mind would tell me I needed to do something but my body just wouldnโt respond. What changed for me was I lost of my wife unexpectedly last year and it just made me have this sense of urgency to change my ways. I initially started using Muscle Booster as a way to cope and get my mind off the loss. Then it became therapeutic for me along with walking 4 days a week. I must say that Iโve enjoyed it for more than I ever thought. I use the walking/steps feature, the chair workouts, and also the Home Strength exercises. All of this has been life changing for me and Iโve really been dedicated to continuing it because it has tremendous health benefits (Iโm diabetic) and Iโve also changed my eating habits for well over a year now. I have recommended this to quite a few people already. The workout start from beginner, to intermediate, to difficult and range from anywhere to 7-10 minutes depending on the workout regime. You burn quite a few calories doing them and just get an overall good workout. It also has reminder features to help motivate you to work out and remind when itโs time to do so. Overall my experience with it has been great.
Really great app. As I've gotten older, I've put on a lot of weight, particularly in my mid-section. I've always had a hard time consistently going to the gym, so I wanted something that I could easily follow and stick to. I've been using the home workout plan for about 8 weeks. It's definitely been helpful with getting my stomach a little more trim, though I haven't lost much weight. Overall, I'm very happy with my results so far. PROS: Straightfoward to get started and nice clear intrerface. The initial exercises were all doable at my fitness level. Videos have detailed instructions that highlight the muscles that each exercise focuses on. You can set the length of the workouts and what equipment you have available (or no equipment), so it's easy to get in at least some exercise every day. You can give a thumbs down to any exercises that are too difficult and they won't be included in your routine for a while. That's definitely been important because occasionally the app will throw in some insanely difficult (well for me anyway) exercises. CONS: None of these are deal-breakers. Just a couple of simple things that could really improve the app. It would be great to have audio instructions at the beginning of each exercise. Right now, I pause the routine to read the details of some of the more complicated exercises. By adding audio I could keep to the flow of the routine without stopping. The time given for a few exercises is off, e.g. there's no way to do 30 reps for some. In those cases I either stop when the app tells me regardless how many reps I've completed, or I'll pause the app and get to the number of reps.
I never buy apps but I wanted to get a workout routine that was tuned to me and would progress as I do. I loved this app in the beginning, my muscles are more sore than any other workout I have done in the past. Iโm a week in and my triceps are at their max so I figured my routine would move into my legs or abs, but it kept having me repeat the chest and arm strengthening. I found out today that the app is not tracking my progress, it doesnโt think I have been working out all week. For those that this is happening to, the developer requires you to hit the share button at the end of the workout to track that you completed it. This is annoying, I didnโt plan on posting to Facebook my workouts, the developer is trying to get free advertisement for a paid app. They need to add an option at the end to share or mark the workout complete. The good news is you can click on the share button, but cancel the actual Facebook post. This will mark your routine done but keep it private. Iโm going to try that until my subscription is up and look for another app. Also, like others mention, the โcontact usโ button doesnโt work. Iโm very suspicious of the integrity of this app. The workout have been great though so I hope they make some improvements. This app is too pricey for it not to โrequiresโ free advertisement to Facebook. No one wants to see me post everyday I performed a daily routine for 7 minutes, how annoying I would be ๐
