I’ve been using this app on and off for 9ish months. The workouts and meal options are excellent, as is the weights tracking, but I find how this app works to be overly confusing. The website and app literally don’t describe what you’re getting for your money or give a preview to the workouts at all. They give a 1-2 sentence description of the programs and keep asking you to fill out a quiz instead of independently perusing the options. It isn’t clear what is available and then when you sign up what you get is still not clear - you sign up for a 6-8 week “challenge” (which start at specific times so you can’t just access the workouts whenever you want to start the program) but then you have to pay for app access which is in 3-12 month increments - AKA a different amount of time than the challenge. Previously I could keep using the app for the duration of the time I paid but this last time I no longer had access despite having paid for multiple months past the challenge end date - why did I pay for three months “app access” but I can’t use it at all after the 8 week challenge is up? I’m being told I’m paying for the app but then it turns out I’m actually paying for the challenge? I also did not find the support team particularly helpful - super delayed in responding and didn’t seem to understand my question even though I can’t be the only one with this issue. I think this app is incredible and the best fitness app when you’re in the middle of a challenge but the before and after is a massive pain and frustrating - the SWEAT app is significantly more flexible and user friendly.
Before with any of my other BBR challenges I always made excuses. Reasons why I couldn’t eat healthy or count my macros. But with this challenge especially with it being the last challenge of 2020, and 2020 just being a crazy year. I was determined to hit my goals and make things shake. I started out the challenge being 206 pounds and I was determined to at least hit 190 or to get out of the 200s. Everyday with this challenge I grew stronger. I thought that I was doing this challenge for my kids but then I realize I’m actually doing this for myself. Being a mom of two kids I’ve never thought I was going to be able to get back to my pre-baby their body. But with the help of BBR in the entire community I was able to hit my goals.I’ll probably drive my husband crazy with all the Costco trips to the store for shrimp and mushrooms. I could not be happier with my results this challenge losing 5kg Is a huge accomplishment for me when I never thought I was ever going to get out of the 200s. I can’t wait for the next challenge because I’ll be able to start tightening and toning every inch of my body and now that I have the knowledge and the skills that I will be able to master the next 2020 challenge. What I really need people to know is 2020 may have been a crazy year but the year is what you make out of it and I am happy that I stuck with this challenge gave it 100% of my energy and was able to come out with the fantastic results. *My camera was not my friends I’m still learning the right angles but in my person my stomach is a lot more defined.
I love the workouts in the program I chose but the application is not user friendly, especially during a workout. When you are in the middle of a circuit, each exercise begins without any preview of the next workout, which makes your workout pretty staggered because you keep having to pause to preview the moves, which also cuts into your time (you can see an overview of the workouts beforehand but unless you can memorize them all, it isn’t useful during your workout). It’d help if they had a ten second preview of the upcoming move before starting your timer. The meal plan isn’t what I thought it would be either. For this entire week, my meals are exactly the same everyday- which to me isn’t realistic. I’m also not sure how to look through the app for other workouts- I think my program is 6 weeks but I have the app for 8...I thought you’d have access to additional workouts. You should be able to pay the exact duration of the program you choose OR have access to additional workouts after your program ends and you have access to the app. Also if you paying for a meal plan, it better be customized, or at least different on a daily basis (the only customization was my calorie goal).
