Monefy: Money Tracker

I really want to like this app as I like the actual app and what it does. What I don’t like is constant and I mean constant ads. Open the app get an ad, click continue to the app then I get an ad for premium on sale (a limited time deal that seems to be a deal everyday and every time I open the app) click past that and if you leave the app for even a second guess what? When you comeback ad again and their premium off again. I have been using this for only a few days and tired of the ads being shoved in my face. Pretty much what’s gonna happen from here is I keep using this app is I will never give you money and support you with the way you have your ads set up. I don’t mind getting one a day or every once in a while but not when it’s constant. The other thing that more than likely will be happening is me just going and finding another app. So instead of retaining people and getting some constant flow of ad money you get these very small bursts of ad money that don’t last. Not very smart of you ask me.

As someone who doesn’t have a fixed income I literally love this app for money tracking. It’s clean, simple, and having the different categories for different types of spending is an amazing feature! I can see just what I spent for the month which is something I struggled to visualize. I love that adding and subtracting money is really easy too! If you are a young person or teenager looking to keep track of your money I highly recommend!! Things to improve: I really wish they had a way to easily track monthly subscriptions such as Netflix and factor it in automatically. Also, I would love an option to take photos of receipts!!

I have been using this for a few months now and it’s perfect. It keeps me accountable too. I have to look at my bank account everyday and I put in my items everyday. I see when it goes from green to red and it’s helped me see patterns that I didn’t know existed. Like I had no idea I was spending so much on groceries and what I though we needed to cut back on was not a big deal but what was a big deal I would have never seen! I’m now out of credit card debit because of this app alone. My only wish is that I could share the same account on two phones so my husband could have access on his phone at the same time and be updated when I update too. Like a login feature. But super in love. I needed something simple and it does just that.
