Merge Fables®

A fun combination of “match 3” type games and the buildable task driven adventure games. I love my daily “fix.” I think it can be a little too time consuming at times because there are so many different tasks to complete. Pros: fun characters with a lot of variety in the castle building, character development and Arcadia island characters. Sound effects are very enjoyable and add extra joy to performing the merging. The game board is pretty and big enough to build different things such as castles, coins, gardening and mermaid isle pieces . I really like that the rewards can be kept inside the delivery ships until I’m ready to use them but I wish there was a way to know how many items are in a ship and what they are so I don’t accidentally open a ship with extra items that I don’t need in an effort to get what I’m actually looking for. I really really liked the alchemy challenge that lasts for five days but it seems to have stopped coming up. Cons: Energy in the quest game is not nearly enough to accomplish all the tasks and win the final rewards that include gem chests. It would be better if the energy recovered faster, like every two minutes rather than three minutes. Same on the main island, the energy runs out too fast and then takes too long to regenerate. The ads that are for Royal Match are terrible, they are awful to watch and take forever to end. The Royal Match ads also mess up the game, sometimes they cause the game to close and sometimes when they end, the sound effects have been muted which may seem silly but I really like the sounds and I have to shutdown and restart the game to get sound back! Suggestion: Please consider adding another island like Arcadia, like a princesses island or something. I’m almost done with all the Arcadia dragons/fairies and I’m not sure if there will be anything else to do once I’m done. The other Merge game called Merge County has added another island with an ocean theme and I wish Merge fables would do the same.

I’ve tried several merge games only to uninstall after a week or two of play. Most were rhetorical and the math didn’t add up to actually play the game without either spending a lot of money or playing for 30 minutes and having to wait half a day to build up enough energy to play for another 30 minutes. Merge Fables is different. I’m able to get into a good rhythm and play for a while, strategically it challenges you to build up and save, spend and build in a way you build up coins or energy to build in another part of the game. My only complaint is that I’ve never completed ONE of the special lands, you have 3 days to finish or win.. I’ve saved up loads or coin, spent loads of money, and I’ve not even come close to completing it…. This is why I’m giving 3 stars, in almost a year I’ve should of been able to complete at least once. Another thing that is improving is the fairy lands, for too long the game wasn’t upgraded for players who’ve reached maximum level. We had to continue to feed the fairies and make merges to complete the dailies, but there were no rewards for for a long time … it’s upgraded now, I hope we don’t get back to waiting for another upgrade to continue building and play.. I will change my rating win I think the special play is fairly created so there’s at least a small chance that it can be completed.

I love the characters of this game. I’ve been playing Merge Dragon for a couple of years and just started Merge Fables. Pros: *different events and islands to work on at any given time *Ability to earn coins/rubies and purchase pretty decent things with said coins/rubies *Lots of new events Cons: *the items have to be slidden together and there have been times when I was trying to arrange my board and items get merged accidentally. It’s frustrating, especially with higher level items! *you cannot merge things out of the greyed out areas but rather have to use up (harvest) and whatever is “blocking” it. It’s a merge game for Pete’s sake. We should be able to merge things out! *energy takes waaaaaay too long to recharge and purchasing more is limited. *cost of harvesting items is too much for the amount of full energy- I find that I’ve used up all energy on the main island within 10-15 minutes. Improvements that would be great: *merging any item without using energy to merge *ability to win or buy (with coins/rubies) for unlimited energy for an hour/half an hour, etc. *energy recharges much faster on main island and all events Regardless, I like this game and will continue to play for now.
