The app is great in general. The best feature is the remote start as I (42M) live in NY, and no one wants to go outside and sit in a cold car when it‘s under 30 degrees outside and snowing. Other than that, the door locking feature comes in handy from time to time. Can’t think of any negative issues with the app itself, but I do find that paying a subscription fee of $150 is a joke on an annual basis after you spend $50k plus or more on a luxury car. We get it, your Mercedes, flex those German muscles, but realistically it’s a turn off to buyers to charge for what is basically a remote start when older cars like Mazda or Ford used to add it on the key fob standard with the purchase of a vehicle (even as an option). As a consumer of Mercedes, it’s more of an “annoyance” to pay for a small feature like that, and every time I use the app, or have to renew the subscription that feeling of “annoyance” is what I think of every time I remote start the car, so essentially what you’re consumer is relating to Mercedes is the word annoyance…which is sad bc the car itself is excellent.

From the moment I walked into the dealership I felt the difference of this company. Helpful staff that were not pushy or asking a million questions about my situation. Once we were ready to test drive we were again helped without an interrogation. The vehicle speaks for itself…quite literally. The Mercedes app is amazing! Any question I have will be answered and the system is a breeze to navigate. However, in case you are computer challenged there’s a service that is complimentary where a technician will come to your home and answer any questions you have. This car does everything except make coffee, but will definitely find the nearest cafe if that’s what you’re looking for. I don’t want my commute to end and stall going home just to stay in it for a few moments longer. Our salesman was first class as well (thanks Bojan Savic of Scottsdale). His patience and dedication to myself as a customer was unlike any salesman I’ve encountered. No rushing or pressure, just made sure I was getting the vehicle of my dreams. The only con to this experience is that I’ll never be able to get another brand of vehicle because I’m hooked on the luxury of this vehicle and the driving experience it offers. Thanks Mercedes 🥰

The app itself works ok, but the overall functionality is entirely and utterly underwhelming. Prior to purchasing my 2021 mercedes, I owned a 2017 Ford Explorer. We also have a 2018 Ford F-150. With our Fords, we have an app on our phones that allow us to start the car, but we also have the flexibility to use our key fobs to remote start our vehicles. With the Fords, when it is cold outside, the heated seats and steering wheel automatically come on while the car is warming up. When it is hot, the cooled seats do the same. I could also unlock the car with a keypad so that I didn’t have to carry any key or phone with me if I so chose. With my fancy pants Mercedes, I must fish out my phone, open the app, click the engine button, enter a PIN and wait for my request to be processed before the car will start (I also receive an annoying email that clutters my inbox every time the car starts, stops, locks and unlocks through the app - maybe there is a setting to turn this off). How is it that this app does not provide the functionality to activate the heated seats and steering wheel? To activate the cooled seats? To adjust the climate settings in the car? Why can’t i just use the key fob to quickly press a button and start the car? I never in my wildest dreams thought that when I purchased an almost $90K car that I would miss the “luxury” of my $50K Ford.
