MemeApp & I Have A Meme!

Over the past few months I’ve seen a lot of racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and generally rude or offensive content. From my understanding of the terms of use this is unacceptable. It’s certainly one thing to be rude and offensive simply for the sake of being a jerk but additionally these posts are neither funny nor entertaining in any way. If this app is meant to be a place to share funny and amusing content then so be it, but that means they need to do a MUCH better job taking down reported content and ensuring people do not violate the community standards. If you’re BIPOC I wouldn’t recommend it. I’ve had this app for years but I’m deleting it now. Too much rampant bigotry Furthermore, from what I’ve found a lot of these posts are coming from the same users whose posts I have reported multiple times. It’s disgusting that people are allowed to get away with this kind of behavior and that LOL Pics continues to allow people like that to engage on this app.

Used to be a great way to kill time with funny memes. Great how if I saw all the recent memes I could select random and see some maybe I’ve never seen or haven’t seen in a while, but had to delete because something within the app was accessing my phone/ or the ads are infused with a virus or something- I would hear a boing sound out of my phone speaker, once there was music playing until I closed out of the app. Ads would pop up without being clicked and open up its own tab in my internet browser, and today it popped up with an ad for a porn site for “milfs” which showed full nudity in the ad- how embarrassing if I had been at work or in public. Anyway I just can’t trust it, maybe I’ll check back in a couple months see if anything has changed since the app itself has been a favorite for years. Only been having these problems within the last 6 months

Yeah this is a good app for memes and yeah there’s political talk in the comments. Lots of people who sit either very near the middle or more to the right. It can sometimes make the app feel a little bit less like a community and more like a place where any opinion from the left would automatically be drowned out as “libtard” noise. Even on non-political memes you’ll still find comments that have to bring up debates over gender and sexuality or trump and his following. Idk man. I guess the opposite is true on other apps which also isn’t good. I just wish everybody could get along but what do I know
