This app perfectly worked for me when I was in a pinch and didn't have my debit card on me and needed to find a gas station close by that took my Apple Pay card. Found a gas station less than a mile from me and I got gas before breaking down! Yay!

Hangs at launch talking about Apple pay. Even killing and restarting the app doesn't fix it. Even uninstalling and reinstalling the app doesn't fix it. Caused by having background app refresh turned off. If it's enabled, which it shouldn't need, it's practically unusable because it keeps panning and zooming on its own despite what you ask it to do. Incredibly frustrating. I can't understand how companies can develop such unusable apps like this. Surprised this made it through apples app review process. Update: new version seems to fix panning and zooming problem but still amazingly bad. Range in its settings is an unnecessary setting. It should figure it out based on map zoom. It was set very low (ie close) and refused to display and MasterCard locations regardless of what I tried. Not until I found this setting did it start working.

I use the app only to find merchants near me that accept contactless payments for Apple Pay, and it has worked fine for that purpose thus far. Obviously I cannot say how complete the merchant database actually is, but thus far the app has reliably reported places that I know for sure accept contactless payments, so the data does have some accuracy. Note that I live in a large city so that may help my results. I have not seen the stability issues that others are reporting (I’m on iOS 8), and for those complaining that the app cannot find their location… well, you have to give it permission to use your location when prompted on first use, or it will never locate you or anything else. If you give it permission, it will find you and things around you just fine. Note: I give the app three stars instead of four or more because it asks for permission to use your location all the time, not just when the app is running. That is an unnecessarily broad request.
