Magic.io: Spells & Zombies

This game is very well put together & I’ve been enjoying it over the past few weeks, however after getting past level 20 (sorcerer’s square) I’ve encountered choking points where my game isn’t able to keep it’s frame rate up. Specifically, this happens mostly during swarms & the last minute of the round, my game begins to choke up & I get bombarded with enemy mage spells, costing me the round usually at the last 30 - 15 seconds. This not only has to do with the large volume of enemies, but also the large volume of drops (which the bird / no ability even picks up the remaining drops left around the map, most likely adding to the lagging effects).

Let me start off by saying that I thoroughly enjoy this game, it has a generally great basis and gameplay plus the fact that you aren’t forced to watch any ads literally at all unless you specifically choose to watch them for certain rewards is awesome. Although I wanted to make not that once I reached chapter 5 it seemed to go downhill quite a bit. The gameplay and all stayed normal but I encountered numerous occasions where I would be playing a level or a challenge and once it got down to the last minute or two the game suddenly would crash. I would load back in and it would ask me if I wanted to continue the run I was on ( which is great ) yet when I did it would reset me back to basically the beginning of the run. There were multiple times when I would be playing a mission and the game would freeze/lag just enough where I would take damage from enemies out of my own control as well, I assumed part of the problem involved the amount of abilities ( ricochet and such ) overloading the game causing a crash. Yet the last 3/5 missions I have played have seemed to crash the game with mere seconds left causing me to restart at a point around 8 minutes. In my opinion this is most likely just a bug in the game that the developers need to work out. Other than those issues, I absolutely love the game. The graphics and levels are well made, and like I said, the point of no forced ads is fantastic. It’s challenging but not overwhelming, and has just enough content to entertain without being overbearing. The fact that it is also a free game is what makes it awesome. I look forward to future updates and seeing where the developers take it!

I really like this game. It’s addicting, fun and challenging, but there are a few glaring issues that need to be addressed in order to give this game 5 stars. First, you have a limited amount of energy to spend each day. You can watch a few ads or spend money to get a little extra energy but once you use those you’re stuck and have to wait until the next day. HUGE FLAW!! WHY wouldn’t you want people to be able to play your game??? Second, there’s a bug where I don’t receive the upgrade tickets I win in daily and weekly missions. This is super annoying and makes it hard to progress in the game considering you have a limited amount of time to play and you have to upgrade your equipment in order to beat levels. Third, there are bugs that cause the game to freeze and shut down during gameplay (like when it lets me run thru a wall and then freezes me insides the wall). When the app restarts, you lose your progress in the level AND the energy you spent to play the level. This is infuriating considering you have a limited amount of times you can play each day. I would also like to see weekly events where you could win additional equipment or tickets. With these changes this game could easily be a five star game. It does seem like the developers make regular updates, which is great, so I hope they see this. If some of these updates aren’t made tho, I’ll probably just delete the game and find another similar game bc there are so many out there. But I hope they implement some of these changes bc I really do like this game more than similar others I’ve played!
