This is probably the most disappointing app experience Iโve had. Iโm convinced that the app hasnโt been tested in Appleโs Xcode emulators, because elements that are modified in UI donโt return to their original locations after being toggled/touched. I have a very common iPhone 13. Finding food to add to my day is an impossible process. I attempted to simply find a black coffee. After searching for โcoffeeโ, โblack coffeeโ, and โlight roastโ I gave up adding the 5 calorie item. There are many things like this that really make the app unusable. The UI things are one thing, but the health functions are a big hurdle to use. I honestly canโt fathom how anyone has rated this app higher than I have.
I really wanted to like this app. Itโs display seemed like it was it was going to be very simple to navigate and similar to the Apple Health app. However, I cannot work this app. I feel like I am fairly tech savvy and donโt typically have any problems figuring out how to work apps. This one is so difficult to work and thereโs really not any support for it. I tried to click on what seemed to be a technical support link and it doesnโt work. I find that even though I selected to use the US Standard system, it continues to revert to metric units. I downloaded this free app to see if it would fit my needs, but as soon as I finished setting up my account it tried to get me to sign up for a subscription. I attempted to get out of it just so I could see what the app looked like, but it wouldnโt let me look at anything without selecting a subscription type. I quit the app several times and attempted to relaunch it, but each time it required me to choose one. Somehow, even though I thought I was extremely careful, I signed up for a yearly subscription. I immediately requested a refund from Apple and was denied TWICE. I had already deleted the app and was not even using it or the subscription, but that apparently means nothing. So, I lost $40 for nothing. I didnโt even mean to sign up! I definitely think this could be an extremely useful app, but right now I canโt get past the frustration of it.
I like the way this app looks and itโs super user friendly, however, when I go to create a new food, it doesnโt take into account that Iโm adding a liquid. The measurement options it gives you a very limited. Would like to see a widget. Iโm not sure itโs worth buying as this tool is supposed to be quick and easy. Maybe Iโm missing something?
