Katapult | Shop & Lease to Own

I downloaded this appt after reviewing the positive reviews, only to have a very negative experience. I go through the processing and verification steps, I’m given an amount that is far more than I need. I attempt to make my purchase and then I get an error. After repeated error I review the information in the app and the information is wrong. The information has a different address than what I entered. The system used an app (Wayfair) to verify me. I have used Wayfair in the past but not since Aug 2023 to send my daugther a piece of furniture. So this app used that shipping address as my billing address so the address did not match where I was trying to ship my item (to my home of 10 years) but because another app that this app used to verify with had different information I was not able to make my purchase. So when I called customer service they told me I had verify my identity with my DL and a home utility bill. I was very frustrated and ended up deleting the app. I enter and verified my information correctly but because I shipped an item 2 years prior somewhere else I had to prove I didn’t live there to be able to place my order. So make sure you haven’t sent anything via Wayfair to another address otherwise this app will use that address instead of where you actually live. Needless to say I will not be proving who I am and where I live since Wayfair told this app that information.

Ok so here it is. I have just received my first order using this app. I read other ppls reviews and saw them giving 1 or 2 stars because they’d have problems with it freezing up the top of the screen when trying to validate your purchase and also that some of the stores listed the app wouldn’t work with them. So after reading them I can say that yes I experienced this a couple times also. That being said it wasn’t a problem for me because I went right to Walmart because honestly today you can order almost anything in the Walmart app. So I had zero issues with making my purchase it was very simple and fast. This was my last option because AARONS and RentAcenter stopped selling them. And I tried a couple other sites like flexshopper, abunda and LeaseVille. Couldn’t get thru with them so we actually bought one from a marine on FB marketplace for 80$ and got home and it was still under someone’s Apple ID so we could not access it and he wouldn’t respond back to us. So we paid 80$ for an apple paper weight. Then I came across this app and tried it was approved for $1000 so I was then able to get the Apple Watch from Walmart thru the katapult app! I feel like this is going to help come Christmas time. Thank you a ton katapult!!

So far loving this service! It’s extremely helpful for those who don’t have a very considerable income but still want to make sizable purchases. As with any leasing or credit, responsibility is key. The 90 day early buyout option lets you buy out your lease for hardly any additional fees or interest, making sure that’s paid off before the 90 days is key. Be mindful of your spending limits and make sure you can afford that option! Their autopay feature was easy to set up and gave me ease of mind knowing my purchase was being taken care of. I had to reach out to customer support, but man they exceeded my expectations. Some of the best client care I’ve seen. If anyone from Katapult reading this has the authority, please give Chanel from customer support some props and a raise!
