Fact that Display exists sells many rings, but the display constantly illuminating at 80% brightness kills the battery in about one day, and companies chance of repeat buyers gone too. PLEASE ADD TO APP MENU THE ABILITY TO SET RING BRIGHTNESS TO 10% instead of 80% default, or make 10% the default. Add to app also to set ring display off. Both are great battery savers, unless you enjoy charging every day. Why do these two settings get lost hours after being set? Please fix this soon. 1. Ring battery consumes battery in about one day unless the two long press processes are set. Long pressing button while time is displayed allows you to toggle to other brightness percentages (10% enables battery to last much longer). Problem is there is no clear way to save 10% brightness, which seems to be let the display go off and remain off for a period of time. Even though this appears to work, it still reverts to 80% a few hours later, and I’m not sure what triggers that. 2. Another undocumented feature and battery saver to activate the “LCD OFF” mode. Long pressing button while “LCD OFF” is lit up will turn off the display illuminating and using battery. Be sure the display stays off and not “LCD OFF” showing up while still in long press. Keep repeating until “LCD OFF” stays off.
Other than NO BP feature it comes in a nice box with a little charger case and instructions that must be read with a magnifying glass. And the instructions give most, but not all, information to connect to your phone and operate the device. Allow the app to connect to Bluetooth don’t do it separately. There is no support for blood pressure monitoring in the JYOUPRO app. So I am very disappointed, I bought a HuoyanYG for my wife and BP is a standard feature. That feature would be really helpful for someone like me who needs to monitor BP. It's strange that some reviews actually comment on its ability to measure BP. Why is this feature not a standard measurement? Anyway, the ring does everything else as described and does it fairly well. O2, pulse, steps, etc. are accurate. The LED display is easy to use allowing monitoring without looking at my phone. The battery is at 61% after 1 day so looks like only 3 days between charging cycles not 5 like it advertised. Sleep patterns appear accurate BUT only measures deep and light sleep, not REM. Again the REM feature was standard on my wife’s HuoyanYG Smart Ring hopefully there is a future update will add both of these features. Exercise data also appears accurate BUT getting to the recorded GPS track history data is not obvious. I’m still thinking about returning it. I can use my wife’s ring to check BP and my iWatch to get O2, Pulse, steps and workout which does a better job and includes REM monitoring Sleep patterns. I just was hoping for all of these features would be brought together in one simple app.
I’ll take 30-40 steps, before the step counter on the ring kicks in, same with the app…ALSO…it doesn’t always read the stats from the Health app, particularly with the Sleep stuff… UPDATE: Well…the sleep section on the JRing app, actually managed to import the Apple Health sleep stuff over…problem is, IT ONLY WORKED THE ONE TIME! I can’t get it to happen again…I haven’t changed anything…the JRing app, is simply too glitched!
