This app is ridiculous. I am getting about tired of it not syncing the information from my ring to the app. The ring itself is not the problem. It is 100% the app. There have been multiple times after information being there it just disappears. Like this morning I checked my sleep patterns for last night it was there. Now at 10:45 shows no sleep tracking from last night. I also had a notification about half hour ago saying congrats on 45 minutes of movement. Open the app and it shows I have only walked 265 steps in the 6 hours I have been awake. Yet my phone and watch show over 6000 steps so far. I have restarted my phone, I have shut the ring off and turned it back on, disconnected it and reconnected it to the app, turned Bluetooth off and back on. Nothing helps. No point really in having the ring if the app for it doesn’t show you the information consistently and accurately. And there is no customer service department to figure out how to get information back that has miraculously disappeared.
I did not have high expectations for the ring and app, but overall I'm happy with them. The app layout is great, easy to read and easy to find stuff. The cons of the ring/app: The sleep screen does not seem accurate. The colors for light sleep and awake are almost the same so you can't tell if there is a difference. Also, the ring does not seem to capture when I'm awake during the night. It sees it as light sleep. On a treadmill, if you hold the handles, the ring does not recognize the walking activity and will not count the steps. It makes sense since my hands are not moving. It would be nice if the ring recognized at least one hand moving to count steps.
1) I’ve been having issues getting it to register sleep data. I’ve found that to see the data from the night before, I have to delete the app and data from my phone, and reinstall it. This works about 85% of the time. Syncing the data from the app’s Home Screen does not work, neither does removing the ring from the app, and connecting them back together. 2) it records what it calls “nap” times as having the incorrect time…it records it as being 13hrs behind (ex: I nap from 3:30pm to 3:45pm, it records the time as 2:30am to 2:45am), and there is no way to correct it. 3) it records random steps and calories burned, messing up my actual data in my apple health app. 4) this is a new one, but even though I have the app connected to apple health, it is not pulling in data stored there.
