It is offline it is perfect but a few things of my concern. To walaber (i think I spelled that right) from me. Anyways so I canโt figure out how to do 2player on my iPad and I tried hooking my switch joycons to it. It works but sorta i conrtol both cars for some reason, thing 2 i cant figure out in the level maker how to make the signal antenna work on stuffโฆ thing 3 so walaber (I think I spelled that right again) you should add a world 9 with a ability that turns you into water! So you can go through thin spaces! But also we really need an update that adds those but also if we canโt do waterโฆ why not we turn into a tiny car from a shrink thing that lets you shrink for a short time to maybe counter the grow abillity. But to opose the chilly pepper why not a ice cream that makes you harder and slow but heavier so you can tank through things anyways walaber you are amazing and you keep up the great work! Bye! But also for those out there who read this review I beat the game on my iPad with onscreen controls
I have very fond memories of playing the original JellyCar trilogy when I was young, such as making the car fly apart by spinning really fast in 1. Another memory was of making extremely annoying sounds in the sound editor or making an awful looking car in 3, which Iโm happy both made the cut for this game. One of my favorite memories was actually from the second game, where you could create your own wacky levels (a feature I missed when playing the third). I was devastated when I saw that all 3 were removed from the App Store (thanks a lot, Disney), at least until I first heard the news that JellyCar was making a return. This game is full of fun and challenging levels as well as the classic jiggly physics and mechanics (and the kidโs drawing art style) that gave its predecessors their unique charm that so many 2000s and 2010s kids loved and remembered. Iโm a big fan of this new โworldsโ gimmick that this sequel has and Iโm very happy that you brought back the classic soundtracks from the old games. The latter hit me with a massive wave of memories that I thought Iโd never get to experience properly again. I love this game and Iโm feeling so much nostalgia for it, but I do hope the ability to make custom levels makes a return at some point (maybe in a possible update?). Thank you Walaber for bringing back my childhood!
I have only gotten to level 3 but these controls are way too hard! I usually get the hang of the controls in only a few minutes but this one I struggled with. Basically, you have to tilt your phone up and down and that will trigger the front wheels or the back wheels (depending on what side you tilt) to lift up. This is super hard because there is no jump button so if you want to go up some stairs, you canโt just jump to each one until you reach the top, you have to tilt your phone to lift the front wheels, then tilt your phone the other way to lift the back wheels to get on to the platform. This is so tedious and sometimes, instead of lifting just your front wheels, it will just tip your car over entirely! Also, there is a tool where you can make your own โskinโ and that is just a whole other story of confusion. I know most of the reviews on here are talking about it having the same nostalgia of the old game and how it brings back so many memories of them playing this game when they were kids, I get it, but I never played this game as a kid so I donโt get the same nostalgia. Over all, this game is really frustrating and I think I would have liked it more if I had played it as a kid. If I were you, I would still try it out because idk maybe this just isnโt the right game for me? Thanks for listening to me vent about about jelly cars. Happy trails :)
