I absolutely love everything about this app. There’s so many options yet it is a very simple and straight forward app that anyone can navigate, especially those of us who aren’t so technologically savvy😂. If I could suggest ONE thing it would be that there was an option to purchase exhibitions if the producer is having exhibitions. A lot of times the later/est exhibitions are already and always taken due to possibly forgetting or possibly texting the wrong phone number etc. and that doesn’t change someone working late like those who are shooting for later exh. In the first place and they only have the option of an exh that’s 3 hours before the jackpot and might be able to make it that early therefore they lose out on ex. I think if this were an option they limit the amount of exh sold online per horse/rider combination and hold a handful of exh for those who may wish to purchase AT the race. Just some food for thought. The live results is amazing and my suggestion has no negative toward this app just a suggestion.
I wear multiple hats, we have a very small team. I take entries, manage warm ups, announce, my husband and I both work the ground and do everything else in between. I don’t own the arena that I produce at, the land owner hires my husband and I. Last night we produced our first run utilizing Rodeo Results and after I figured out the kinks that were my fault, it made life 100x easier. I’ve produced for 4 years, and usually calculating payout and figuring splits take me a fair amount of time. Just being able to click a button and it tell me placing and earnings was amazing. We ran ahead of schedule and it worked great. I only had some contestants express some growing pains over the last week pre entering but it’s NEW. Especially around here, we are one of the little guys in NW Iowa just transitioning out of the pen and paper stage. People don’t like change but they will and are adapting quickly. Once they figured out that they can view everything LIVE as the race is underway I heard a lot of “oh that’s cool”. It was especially helpful for taking pre-entries, especially because we typically run Youth, Open, Poles and will have a NBHA sidepot for both barrel classes as well. I was skeptical at first but it was incredibly easy to use, more people should definitely be using this and I hope more producers, even the little guys, continue to use this moving forward. Thank you for creating this!
As a producer, the software is VERY easy to use. My favorite feature is the ability to go back and correct problems (add riders, correct times, add riders to side pots, etc) during the event. We do barrel racing and it has really simplified the whole process. It has a nice summary after your event to let you see all your financials. Our participants love the ability to see race leaders and current draw during the race right from the app. It works best if your participants download the app and register with rodeo results. There support is VERY responsive and will help you through your first event as it’s happening (if you need it). After one event, I doubt you’ll need further assistance. There are a lot of good things already in the app, and after speaking with the creators, I’m excited for what’s next. It will be great to have a record of all my horses’ results right from the app. Try it-the first event is free and the support is excellent. There’s nothing to lose. Once you decide to buy your next event, the price is very fair. It’s less expensive than some of the other options out there and does almost everything I need. What it doesn’t do (yet), I’ve been able to discuss with the creators and they listen to and incorporate my feedback into future updates. Love it!
