Being two moms raising a daughter can feel so isolating. The stresses are unique and constant, and we wanted to badly to find others going through this experience with us. This community is just that. It is such a comfort to hear from other queer parents and find friends living this same experience. I knew as soon as I saw their post about continuously having to come out as a gay mom that I was in the right place. Looking forward to leaning on this group of women as we navigate parenthood!
I didn’t realize how much I needed this until I joined. Trying to conceive as a queer couple can feel really isolating, especially when you don’t know anyone going through the same thing. Being able to connect with other families like ours—who just get it—has been the best part. It’s not just information, it’s support, real conversations, and a place where you can finally exhale without explaining yourself.
I’ve really enjoyed being a part of the Gay moms community for the past year or so! It’s been such a supportive space where moms can share experiences, give and get advice and feel truly understood. It’s comforting to connect with other parents who are going through or have gone through the same stages or experiences of motherhood.
