I enjoy playing this game. It can get pretty deep and I like how you can have your own businesses and make your own movies. My gripes are with the relationships, production company and the overall box office results. Relationships can die pretty quickly I think that is hard to keep up with especially if you have limited energy. It’s not worth having multiple friends and family because you’ll spend all your energy keeping those relationships at a high level. The production company is frustrating because your self funding it but you have no real support and it seems impossible to make a small film because your budget can sky rocket just from setting up production houses and set locations. Lastly when I look at other films that are released I see them making big box office numbers and the movies aren’t even rated higher than my own films. Yet when a movie I’m in drops it’s barely breaking even or not at all. I’ve had more success with tv shows than movies. This all may be emulating how it really is in Hollywood but I’ve played two careers with maxed out stats and I’m still don’t feel like a superstar even though the game says that I am. I feel like I’m constantly in grind mode. Also I think the awards needs a revamping too. Also how can our actor get big time salary requirements like some of the other in game actors. Some of them have high salaries and also getting movie royalties. At this rate I’m not sure if we can ever get to that level unless I’m just not playing the game right. Also networking isn’t very good, there’s no chance of connecting with anyone in that section of the game. Thank you

I really love playing this game, including the fact that it’s realistically challenging. You feel like you have to put in effort to progress and it’s a lot of fun, with tons of different game play options to keep you entertained- whether you want to focus on acting or branch off into running a variety of businesses or focus on starting a family. I was especially excited about the chance to develop your own movies and TV shows. HOWEVER, that part of the game is discouragingly difficult. It seems nearly impossible to produce a highly rated movie/TV show. Even after hiring all mid-range to good crew, the release still tanks. And then you don’t have access to higher-ranking crew to make your productions any better. It’s feels like a Catch-22. I have no idea what the key is to being successful with that part of the game- and it’s especially disheartening because that’s where you put in your own creativity and ideas. If the developers could balance out the difficulty of that area of the game, I would give five stars

I actually want to rate this as a 4.5/5 game, but it would just round out to 5, so it’s 5/5 for this review. Anyway, I had been waiting for this game to be released for nearly 3 years or so, and I thought that the (very, very, very, VERY long) wait would be worth it. But no. Not quite. It’s a good game and all, but it’s still really buggy. When I announce a casting announcement or a renewal announcement, the post always says the wrong title or wrong season. Not to mention that my daughter is still 0 months old and she was born 5 years ago in game. I like this game, and I want to like it a lot, but there is still much to do.
