I tried his program awhile back and I remember feeling like it was confusing and I didn’t care for it. But he must have made some awesome changes this app is so good. The structure is clear, plenty of videos to help understand the exercises, as well as written info. I felt very confident doing this at the gym, which has been a problem for me historically. I am actually excited to try the next workout and that is rare too. I think this is something I will stick with, finally. I highly recommend this app. You have options to pay monthly, quarterly or yearly. I started with quarterly but will probably do yearly since it saves a little. And you don’t have to have access to a gym either. You can do a plan with dumbbells and booty bands at home too. Very comprehensive
There is, in my opinion, no better, body-changing program for women out there. Bret is a science guy with deep knowledge on the published research and a great coach/programmer. Alongwith a proper diet, this program has allowed me to experience actual body recomposition. In short, my body has never looked better or been anywhere near as strong. The app, however, is horrendously poor. It stopped working properly several iOS updates ago and now is barely functional. Incredibly frustrating loooooong lag to do anything at all. It’s a shame because the app includes many great features, but you can’t use them without waiting an eternity. I just screenshot the workout and ditch the app at times. Fix it, please!
I have been a Booty by Bret member for a little over a year and love the program so I was so excited when they announced an app! The user interface is clean and easy to navigate. I love how the videos are included for each exercise and how every day is clearly laid out. That being said, I don’t think I’m fully ready to switch over the app yet. I’m a paid user for the Strong app and there are some features that I heavily rely on at the gym that is currently missing from the Booty by Bret app. For instance, it doesn’t automatically include the weight amount you lifted the last time you performed that exercise. There is a history tab where all this is stored, but I have to manually enter in all the number again for each set. With the Strong app, I’m able to see the previous amount I lifted and adjust accordingly so I can continue to progressive overload through the month. It also doesn’t have a feature to help with math weights (telling you which plates + the bar equals the weight you’re trying to lift). These are crucial features that I need and I found myself going back to the Strong app for them even though I would desperately like to delete it in favor of Bret’s app! However, as a fellow dev, I know you can’t launch with all the features, so I fully believe that eventually this app will be superior to Strong. It already is in so many ways. I will continue checking the release notes for all the updates to come because I’m very excited about this app’s future. But overall, amazing launch and design!
