So it’s awesome because I can extract multiple freeze frames out of a video directly on my phone, it correctly saves the EXIF and GPS metadata to each photo, and the choosing function already filters to videos only. I seem to be able to do this for free with multiple videos, so I’m happy. What’s not so great or that the buttons keep disappearing as I use it, the menu is a little weird, and the progress bar is both a little too opaque to see image details through and the slider gets stuck at the end so I can’t drag it back into the middle somewhere.
I've had smart phones for about twenty years now, and have been into AV editing as a hobbyist for about eight years. There have been many apps...It's so incredibly rare to find one that has the features you're looking for to accomplish what's needed. It's always a process of elimination, and can be a real crapshoot. This app is a cut above. It was someone's baby. They created and cared for it meticulously. Smooth. Minimalist. Intuitive. Beautiful. This is the nicest app I've used in years. Well done.
In the middle of a software sales trend of bloated, “Subscription” apps, here is a simple, easy to use, and useful app that does what it says it will do. And, it does it for free. However, I appreciated it so much, that I bought the developer a Cappuccino. [If you tap the circle button, in the upper right corner of the screen, and then, tap the “About” button, you can get the opportunity to “buy a coffee” in order to donate just a small amount of cash to the author — just like the good, old, ‘shareware’ days.] The app simply does what it’s intended to do and it does it well, so, I was willing to support the author and his welcome attitude of software development.
