Right now, instead of typing this out, I am able to use my voice to dictate it. I use Spokenly all the time, every day, all day. The reason is because now, more and more, we're finding ourselves in LLM prompt windows, and you'd never want to start from scratch. You want to be able to fly at the speed of voice and not be limited by how quickly your fingers can move. So, Spokenly is amazing because it also has a local model. Right now, I'm using the Parakeet model by NVIDIA, which is a relatively small file, and it makes it so much better for those who are technical and want to take voice dictation to the next level. The reason is because a lot of times in the native voice dictation within Apple, it doesn't have the right technical words. aspects of the things you want to say.

I'm actually using Spokenly to write this review. And if you're looking for a great voice to text app, I highly recommend this one. I use it a lot for texting people on iOS and the Mac app is wonderful as well. I think it's the most customizable in the sense of you know what you're looking for and the model's being used. Unlike some such as like Whisper, you have no clue and don't really have much control over what model is being used. The developer makes a lot of constant updates too, so it's great to see a lot of time and efforts being spent on the app.

Disabled myself, I require some assistance. Even though I was born without hands, I can type on my own, but I'm a little slow, so I use voice to type a lot. I've tried so many different apps, but Spokenly is by far my favorite one of all. It's more than just voice to text. It has the ability to link your chat GPT in other AI services.
