I love this game but new to the legos so reading some patterns have been harder! I love how easy it makes it but only lets you place whatever they have shown even if you know where pieces go you must go in their order. Wish we got more energy to be able to build longer without annoying ads. I know you can probably purchase and have no ads but some can’t afford that! Overall i like it better than other building apps i have tried. Note that the farther along you get the sets get more pieces! Thanks very much!
The game itself is actually really fun. Spinning a gacha box to acquire new sets and suddenly seeing your screen get that UR animation is neat. However, it is obvious how desperate the developers are to make even a cent off of this, which is standard on the app store (and has been for like 10 years). However, the way this developer does it is different. You have 90 energy, 3 things you can build (some sets require you to spend more than 30 energy to fully complete it) that regenerates slowly. The devs have sneakily set in a system where (it has happened to me twice in a row now) when you do a set at 60, you suddenly have 0 energy despite the set itself costing 30. The moment you finish the set the game hits you with an ad, then throws FOUR (1,2,3,4 FOURRR) pop-ups to try and get you to spend money on the game. Not to mention many of the thousands of different currencies in the game require you to play it as if you’re training for an Esports buildit team to earn any amount that is useful. Oh wait, you can’t grind it anymore! Here’s 15 different popups to distract you from the fact that we actively try to force you to pay money to enjoy our game in the first place! Just make it worth a set amount on the app store for goodness sakes. Rather just build a real set at this point.
It's overall a really great game, so many different sets, you actually have to pick out the pieces though they do click into place on their own if you hover it over the spot it's supposed to go (it would be cool if it was possible to put it in the wrong spot and like maybe with a highlight where your hovering and then let go to place it). The ads also aren't too bad either and they don't pop up in the middle of building. Something I think could be better is making ALL of the sets structurally sound builds that can be remade in real life. As it is occasionally you will come across the build that is impossible and would need more structural pieces to actually work in real life (like floating pieces). Obviously it doesn't matter digitally but it would flow and look much better if you made sure all the builds don't have floating structures/pieces. In some of the other sets there are temporary floating pieces as you put the rest of the structure together and I think it would be cool if you could build those separately and then add them to the main build like real lego. There are also other times you put a piece on the main build just to put another piece on it where in real lego you wouldn't be ablr to fit it in unless you put them together before putting it on the main build. That would be another scenario it would be beneficial to have side builds to add to the main build. Also the energy aspect is kind of a drag but other than that this is a great app and I can't seem to stop playing it even with all the little flaws.
