So far I really love this game. The storyline is interesting and episodes release fairly close together so you don’t lose interest waiting on the next installment. The romances I’ve done so far are really sweet too. I do have some suggestions. I would love a little more character customization. Even just having the same faces and hairstyles that are there now but being able to change the hair color and their eye color. A lot of the base options just don’t combine well, it’s like there’s a certain hair/face combo you’re supposed to use and the others don’t really match. Also - side note - Bardric looks handsome when he’s smirking but his character portrait when he’s smiling does not look good lol. It would also be great if we could have more save slots. I like to play my characters as monogamous and would love to see some of the other storylines without losing my current ones. I understand developers probably don’t want people to just use more slots to farm a ton of gems, but they could keep it where we only earn gems on the first two and let us have more slots just for story purposes. Only other thing is I’d love if we could occasionally have an art scene that includes our character. I know that would be harder with the customization but one thing that I like about games like Episode or Choices is seeing the characters interact and incorporating that in the romance quests somehow would be awesome.
This is a long message, but there is a lot to unpack. Please read the whole thing. 1. There are no interrupting ads. A lot of games require you to buy an ad free package, but this one works without random ads, even after you complete a scene. Love that aspect already. 2. The story line feels a little high school, but there are some aspects that a fantasy romance girly would get into. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask BookTok. 3. There are extra scenes you can play through, though most of them cost diamonds to do so. The main story line allows you to pull in allies, but sometimes they have to be at a certain level, which you need the extra scenes for. You can complete these extra scenes in one of three ways: 1 - spend money on diamonds to play the scenes. 2 - spend a lot of time watching adds to rack up diamonds. 3 - play the main storyline solo. I love that they give you options to NOT spend money. 4. On the topic of not spending money, the choices you make in the scenes DO NOT require diamonds to select. Most of these story games bother me because to choose the option I want, I need more diamonds. You can play the entire storyline without spending a cent. Overall, I am enjoying the game, and I’m only halfway through at this time. I would recommend this.
I love what I’ve seen so far! Great storytelling and I love that you can toggle romances on or off so I don’t have to worry that I’ve missed an important option or that some hug is going to start a romance I’m locked into. Lots of choices and chances to explore different things and the story is compelling and the graphics are beautiful. Would definitely recommend! On the constructive criticism side: The timing is a little frustrating- you have to wait 2 hours for a key to play what might be a less than 5 minute scene, but from what I’ve seen playing similar games, that seems to be more or less what they all do, and this one isn’t substantially worse than any of the others on that front. I also wish you didn’t have to wait six hours to watch another ad for a single key. Even if they were limited to a certain number a day, it would be nice to be able to get more than one while I’m sitting down and playing so I can actually progress at some key places. I also wish you could change outfits in-scenes and go back to the main menu in-scene, but those are just little knit-picky things. I would love to have some sort of paid option that would give you faster key refresh or something (or let you unlock the entire chapter with a single key rather than unlocking every scene) so I could read the story more fluidly without doing a bunch of micro-transactions. In summary: If you’re thinking of giving the game a try, I would definitely recommend it! It is quickly becoming a game I know will be a favorite!
