I love using this app to text my friends and family. It makes the conversation so much easier and breaks any language barriers I would’ve faced. I really think this app is a game changer. People around the world can now communicate without having to worry about knowing the other language perfectly. I am also a big fan of the fact that we can also read the translation of the voice note, rather than having to always put on AirPods to listen to the voice note.

The app seemed to have potential at first glance. I even paid about 200 USD for an annual subscription. But I couldn’t use it. It turned out to be completely useless for calls, for example, to medical facilities. As soon as they ask for your last name and you pronounce it in your native language, the administrator cannot understand. When they ask you to spell it, it’s impossible to pronounce the English letters because the app assumes you’re speaking in your native language. As a result, there’s miscommunication, wasted time, and frustration. The app’s interface is not intuitive and does not follow familiar patterns. For example, I never managed to get used to how the translation works. I reluctantly deleted the app and regretted the money spent.

I was searching for an app like this for years. As someone who just relocated to Spain but doesn’t speak Spanish this app is a lifesaver.
The only missing feature is handling incoming calls. I’d gladly pay for this. If app can give me a number I can use to give out to service providers and that will be used to handle my incoming calls and conferencing me in.
