Visualizer won’t accept any of my photos from the camera roll to the “take a photo” option. It’s broken for my iOS 14 pro max. Really want this feature to work and I understand bugs can arise but maybe just disable to feature until fixed. Update: The new release seems to have fixed this issue as I can no longer replicate the problem! Works great! Good job dev team. Updating my review as the app functions very well.
I am afraid you will be losing many customers because of the frustration with this app. I believe you should rename it or somehow warn customers that the program is for interior visualization only! I spent nearly three hours over three different attempts to get your program to work. I went to your physical store and waited 40 minutes to have a clerk attempt to help me, but of course, the program didn’t work for her either. She was able to apply my palette of colors to some stock photos you had, so that was somewhat helpful. I did also make a phone appointment with one of your color specialists. She could not help with the exterior visualization, but was able to give advice and suggestions about color combinations and was able to send me some updated color palettes. If my contractor was not a committed Sherwin-Williams customer, we would be buying our paint elsewhere.
Color snap is easier to navigate, is better at identifying what is/is not a wall, and is much more flexible than this app. The color selection and matching in color snap seems more accurate, will match anything in the photo, and allows to manually select colors in the photo as needed; this app will only color match things it can “identify” and there is not manually adjusting anything. If it can’t identify anything in the photo (e.g. if you use a photo of an empty room without the floor prominently visible) it just gives you an error message and does nothing. In the photos I tested, it failed to identify features like wood trims/railings/etc, a brick fireplace, and countertops. It not only won’t provide color suggestions based on the wood features, but ‘paints over’ them entirely. It wouldn’t color match the brick fireplace, and would give an error message for most photos where it was visible. It would attempt to identify and color match the countertop, but would then ‘paint over’ large portions of it. Can’t for the life of me understand why you wouldn’t add what this app is attempting to do as a feature in the existing color snap app instead of launching this as a separate, stand alone app. It’s not a bad idea but I’m not keeping two different Sherwin Williams color selecting/matching apps on my device and color snap is without question the more useful of the two.
