Unfortunately, the Tinnebot part of this app has been locking up on a regular basis. It happens in the middle of a session and then the only thing to do is start over. I’ve been using the app a week after paying for it and the lock ups have happened four or five times. To maintain progress you have to complete a session so I’ve had to go back and do each of these Tinnebot sessions a couple of times to get through. While I like the app overall, I wish there was less reliance on Tinnebot. Besides the lock ups the other issue is that Tinnebot asks open ended questions but doesn’t really use what you say in a way that modern AI would be expected to. You can type gibberish and it will still plow ahead. The concept of an AI assistant is very promising, but the current Tinnebot implementation is too old school scripted and mechanical.
About three and half weeks into realizing I had tinnitus (brought on by stress/major anxiety and a sinus issue and jaw issue), I stumbled upon MindEar on Insta and followed the posts and found this app and when I downloaded my world shifted from feeling stuck and helpless to realizing I had more control than I realized in this situation. I listened to a bunch of podcasts, found the you tube, found my favorite brain interruption noise (one I had not seen in other apps), and discovered the benefits of cbt for reframing tinnitus and my reaction to it. Most importantly, all of a sudden I wasn’t alone, and I wasn’t an anomaly, some weirdo with a noise in her ear; I was among others who understood. The podcasts and webcasts/seminars have been so helpful. I highly recommend this app, it’s free basic version has a lot of benefit to offer and the paid version even more. If you are struggling and feeling hopeless, walk alone no more.
The tinnitus was increasing and was making me into a recluse. Finding the MindEar app was the turning point. On a scale of 1-10 with ten being the worst, the last three months the tinnitus have been fluctuating between 8-10. I started using the MindEar app and scheduled a free consultation (included in app) with Dr Fabrice Bardy. It has only been five days since my consultation and OMG the results have been amazing! Yesterday the tinnitus was fluctuating between 3-5. Today it is fluctuating between 1-2. Over the last ten years I have spent a fortune with every snake oil salesman that promised relief. I am very excited to finally get results. The promise of getting my life back now is a realistic goal. Thank you MindEar and Dr Bardy.
