This is a fun game. It looks easy but it could be extremely challenging. I use to play every day. Now I play once in a while due to work etc. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the game. They did start adding ads between games but so far not the long ones. Maybe there could be a game in which you have to find words that belong to a certain group ex. Types of dog breeds.
If you only have a few minutes to play, then this is the game for you. You can play a short game or as long as you wish. Each time you guess a word that’s the end of one game. You can have words of almost any length prescribed by the game. It starts off with five character words. You start by putting in your first word and then the game will tell you if the letters are in the final word in the right place or just present in the wrong place. After a few guesses, you can begin to calculate where the letters should go and it’s quite easy to guess the final target word. Occasionally it can be very challenging. My only gripe is that I wish I could change the letter in the word that I am entering by touching the letter and changing it. Right now you have to delete the letters from the end to go back to the beginning. If the letter you want to change is at the beginning of the word, you have to delete all the other letters to go back there to change it. It’s not a big deal, but it would help a lot if you could change each character independently.
Kudos to the developer for a very eye-friendly screen presentation. After a few months of playing Wordly (30-60 minutes at a time) I realized I never feel eye strain or dry eyes afterwards. The combination of all the soft colors used for screen layout is aesthetically pleasing and perfect for both day and night play. With Wordly I never have to adjust the color and brightness settings on my iPad as I too often have to do when playing other similar games especially at night. Moreover, the Wordly screen is not cluttered with distracting ads or gratuitous comments on how well one plays the game.(e.g., impressive, whew, you failed, etc.). In my opinion, this is the best word find game of its kind.
